I’m a little biased when it comes to mixing comfort with style. It’s my number one priority in life and my main goal when sourcing for clients.
So often, we forget to take into account the integrity in the garments we buy. Are they really serving a purpose? Are they functional?
During my time as a Fashion Designer, this thought process was always at the forefront of my designs. How is this person going to get out of the car in this piece of clothing? How are they going to reach for the salt in the kitchen when cooking? Is this design allowing for movement? Or, is this fabric going to last if a mum of three kids is busy running to and from all day to day activities?
You might have seen this outfit on my Instagram Stories last weekend on my #OnTheSofa Episode 2. I designed these pants as part of a collection in my tenure as Designer for Willa & Mae. The ethos of the brand was to take sleepwear into ready-to-wear.
These pants are my take on how pyjamas, style, lounge, and comfort should marry. Like a beautiful symphony, I say! Made from the softest, most luxurious Silk Satin fabric. You should always still be able to feel glamorous in comfort.
